Light and Heat> Light is a form of energy. And energy can make things happen. Like what? Look around you! Sunlight fades a curtain. It heats a sandy beach. It helps plants make food. It fuels solar-powered machines.
Often, one form can change into another. Light can become heat energy, for example. Wear a black shirt on a sunny day, and you’ll feel what I mean. Light hits your shirt. Your shirt absorbs much of it. And the light turns to heat energy. You feel hotter. A white shirt reflects more light energy. So less light turns to heat. You feel cooler.
Can heat energy become light energy? Look around you for things with a warm glow.
